Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive disaster preparedness plans.
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
Design and implement mitigation strategies to reduce the risk and impact of disasters.
Develop and deliver training programs for staff, volunteers, and the public on disaster preparedness and response.
Manage stockpiles of emergency supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate emergency response efforts across all relevant agencies and organizations.
Establish and maintain a 24/7 emergency operations center (EOC) to monitor and manage incidents.
Deploy resources and personnel to disaster sites.
Coordinate search and rescue operations, evacuation procedures, and shelter management.
Provide immediate assistance to affected individuals and communities.

Responsibilities

Assess damage and losses caused by disasters.
Develop and implement recovery plans to help communities rebuild and restore essential services.
Manage disaster relief funds and distribute aid to affected individuals and communities.
Coordinate long-term recovery efforts, including infrastructure reconstruction and economic revitalization.

Responsibilities

Develop and update the state’s emergency management plan.
Research disaster risks, vulnerabilities, and best practices in emergency management.
Evaluate the effectiveness of past response and recovery efforts to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the agency’s overall performance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement public awareness campaigns to educate the public about disaster risks and preparedness measures.
Maintain a robust communication system to disseminate information during emergencies.
Manage media relations and provide accurate, timely information to the public.
Engage with communities to build resilience and foster preparedness.
